Courtney Washburn-Marcheski is the Executive Chef and Proprietor of The Cupcake Killer, serving Harford and Cecil counties in Maryland. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Denver, Colorado, Courtney refined a craft she had been passionately exploring for years — the art of scratch baking using fresh farm and premium ingredients. What began as a personal passion has become her purpose, and working with Maryland’s beautiful seasonal ingredients was a natural choice for this East Coast transplant.
 

Before returning east, Courtney worked as a private chef for some of the most prestigious names in the entertainment and corporate worlds in Aspen, Colorado, and Los Angeles, California. Her love for cooking — and for nourishing others through food — has been her driving force since the very beginning of her culinary journey.
 

After relocating to Maryland, Courtney recognized a desire for something different: a fun yet refined boutique bakery specializing in elaborate scratch-baked cakes and distinctive specialty desserts.
 

Today, The Cupcake Killer is proud to offer elevated experiences for life’s most meaningful events — creating memorable moments defined by unparalleled taste, artistry, and style.
