Courtney Washburn-Marcheski is the Executive Chef and proprietor of The Cupcake Killer located in Harford and Cecil counties and a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Denver, CO. It was there where she enhanced a skill she had been exploring for several years on her own. Scratch baking with fresh farm and premium ingredients have become something that feeds her soul, so working with the seasonal ingredients available in Maryland was a natural decision for this east coast transplant.

 

Before arriving on the East Coast, Courtney worked for some of the most prestigious names in the entertainment and corporate world as a private chef in both Aspen, CO and Los Angeles, CA. Her love for cooking and feeding others have been her sole passion since she first got into the culinary business. It was after moving to Maryland that she saw a need for a fun, boutique bakery that specialized in elaborate scratch baked cakes and specialty desserts.
